I am regretfully withdrawing from the Septembeards competition. The rumors are true, I have used performance enhancing products. The competition was getting fierce, Poch was catching up, Larkin's beard was filling in nicely, Rooney was starting to look like a 15 year old. I needed a competitive advantage, I needed Just For Men- Medium Brown.
I would like to apologize to my family, friends, my dog Marley, the angry advertisers on 866, and to my competitors in Septembeards. Just like my mother, I was blessed with the ability to grow lots and lots of facial hair, yet I got greedy. I wanted it all, I wanted to be the Sasquatch of Google. Please accept my apology and learn from my mistakes.

Man Beard Blog officially takes a neutral position on the use of performance enhancers. On the one hand, such products might tend to undermine the integrity of the beard, but on the other hand they make the beard look better. Ultimately, use of controversial substances can be attributed to an important Man Beard characteristic, irrational exuberance. You have to accept this trait when you embrace a love of bearding.
